Check the generation and year of manufacture in the car’s documents.
The Audi Q5 on offer can differ in engine, gearbox, drive and equipment, so always judge the specific car rather than the model as a whole.
Check that the service records match the mileage and that the car’s documented history is available. You can ask about the documents before you visit.
Fuel, power and consumption differ from car to car. Use the fuel and power filters and compare the details of each car with how you will actually use it.
The gearbox type is listed in each car’s detail. During a test drive, pay attention to how smoothly it shifts and how it responds to the accelerator.
Check whether the car has all-wheel drive. You can switch on the 4×4 drive filter in the offer; the exact specification is in the car’s detail.
Compare equipment between cars and, during the inspection, check the condition of the tyres and brakes and the function of the electronics and driver assistance systems.
For available cars you can book a test drive in the car’s detail. If you cannot come in person, the car can also be shown to you live, remotely.
The information is based on Audi press releases and technical data and always relates to the generation, version and period stated. Check it against the documents and technical data of the specific car.
Check the generation and year of manufacture in the car’s documents.
Audi launched the Q5 Sportback in the first half of 2021 as a sister model of the Q5 with its own body. Both versions can therefore be on offer; for a specific car, check which one it is.
Designations such as 40 TDI, 45 TFSI or 50 TFSI e indicate the engine type (TDI is a diesel, TFSI a petrol engine, TFSI e a plug-in hybrid) and the power level. Versions with the same engine type can therefore differ in the number of cylinders, capacity and gearbox.
| Version | Output | Engine | Gearbox | Drive |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 40 TDI quattro | 150 kW | 2.0 TDI, inline four-cylinder, 1968 cc | 7-speed S tronic | quattro with ultra technology |
| 45 TFSI quattro | 195 kW | 2.0 TFSI, inline four-cylinder, 1984 cc | 7-speed S tronic | quattro with ultra technology |
| 50 TDI quattro | 210 kW | 3.0 TDI V6, 2967 cc | 8-speed tiptronic | permanent quattro all-wheel drive |
Versions with the same engine type designation differ in engine and gearbox. The figures apply only to this generation, version and period.
Always check the engine, the power in kW and the gearbox of the specific car.
The plug-in hybrid version of the Q5, designated TFSI e, has been on the market since 2019. Battery capacity and all-electric range can differ by generation and version, so check them in the technical data of the specific car.
Audi’s figures always refer to a specific version and period. The Q5 Sportback launched in 2021 is summarised in the table above (status 11/2020).
